A brief history about Omia Foundation

Omia Foundation is a Not-for-profit organization founded in 2023 to create sustainable and inclusive development in various sectors, including Agriculture, Environment, Education, Financial Inclusion, Nutrition, and Health. By leveraging its expertise and resources, the foundation aims to improve the lives of communities and promote positive change on multiple fronts. The foundation offices are located on Plot 6, Staff Lane, Arua City.

The Foundation's Key Areas of Focus

Improving Agricultural Productivity

The foundation will work to develop and promote sustainable Agricultural practices that help smallholder farmers increase their yields and income.

Strengthening Agricultural Value Chains

The Foundation aims to strengthen the entire Agricultural Value Chain by supporting smallholder farmers, local Agribusinesses and other stakeholders involved in the production, processing and marketing of Agricultural Products.

Promoting Agricultural Innovation

The foundation supports research and development in Agriculture to help farmers adopt new technologies and practices.

The Foundation works to build resilience in smallholder farming communities by promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and other practices that help farmers adapt to the impacts of climate change.
